Well-Trained Staff

In order to keep all team members aware of the rapid advances in veterinary medicine, our veterinarians hold regular staff training seminars. Dr. Steib, Dr. Lindsey, and Dr. Potter are strong advocates of ongoing continuing education, attending several educational conferences annually and support all staff members in their efforts to do the same.

Our Philosophy

It is our desire to provide both you and your pet with the very best in veterinary care. By having a caring, knowledgeable, and professional staff, utilizing the latest technological advances, and implementing the foremost medical practices, we hope to provide for the long-term health and happiness of your pet. Keeping your pet healthy and happy is important to us; at Morena Pet Hospital we strive to offer quality care in a compassionate environment.

Our Goals

We aspire to go above and beyond what is expected of us in the care of your pets. Two of the ways we try to achieve this are through customer service and client education. After all, we understand that the typical healthy pet may solely come in to see us for their annual health check-up, leaving 364 days out of the year in your care. That is why we concentrate on building upon the pet/pet owner relationship and aim to educate you throughout your pet's various life stages from puppy/kitten to adulthood.

Meet Our Veterinarians

Dr. Crystal Steib graduated top of her class from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, and is now the proud owner of Morena Pet Hospital. In 2006, she received her BS in Animal Science from Louisiana State University. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association , the California Veterinary Medical Association , and the San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association . Dr. Steib is an active participant and advocate of continuing educational seminars. She joined the staff of Morena Pet Hospital as a full-time associate in August 2011.Dr. Steib was raised near Baton Rouge, Louisiana and moved to San Diego in August 2011. She enjoys hiking and camping with her big pup, Mr. Bones, and husband Rob. Twiggy, her tiny rescued Chihuahua, loves to greet her after a long day at work and go out to dinner.  Athena and Mickey, her two cats, keep everyone entertained at home.

Dr. Lindsey Moore was born in Mississippi and then spent her childhood just up the road in Manhattan Beach, CA. She spent part of her high school years living in Mexico and becoming fluent in Spanish. She returned to the South for college and received Bachelors of Art in International Studies with minors in Spanish and Anthropology from Louisiana State University. While this experience broadened her horizons, it was not a meaningful and fulfilling life. Dr. Lindsey was then inspired to return to school to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 2021, just like Dr. Steib. She is a wholehearted animal lover, but has a soft spot for chihuahuas and parrots. In her free time, Dr. Lindsey enjoys skateboarding, playing recreational softball, and spending time with her family and growing assortment of pets.
